BEACH SAND CLEANER
The Sand Man is a small beach cleaning machine built for congested, obstacle-filled beaches where larger towed rakes can’t maneuver. Independent rear brakes let one operator turn it tightly around chairs, umbrellas, and landscaping, and two forward speeds suit both open stretches and tight corners. For private beaches and compact public areas, here’s how the Sand Man cleans where bigger machines can’t reach.
GOLF COURSE BUNKER CLEANING
As a narrow, lightweight and maneuverable sand sifter, the SAND MAN can be an essential tool for any golf course maintenance team. Using a vibrating screen, it removes small stones, grass, leaves, and other debris as small as 1/8″ (3mm). As a self powered unit, it cleans the sand much quicker and more effectively than standard bunker rakes, while requiring fewer people to get the job done. OIL SPILL BEACH CLEANUP
The Sand Man is an oil spill sand cleanup machine that sifts oil-soaked clumps and tar balls out of beach sand — debris most traditional cleaning tools just push around. The walk-behind sifter screens contaminated material into a hopper while returning clean sand, making it practical for shoreline spots a towed machine can’t reach. Here’s how it handles oil-fouled sand.
The SAND MAN 850 uses fine-meshed vibrating screens to remove the tiniest tar balls and dried oil from the sand, ensuring it doesn’t seep deeper. The SAND MAN can remove oil from up to 4″ deep. Once removed, the hopper and its contents can easily be removed and deposited in a nearby receptacle.
As viewed below, the SAND MAN 850 was an instrumental tool in helping clean the beaches of the Gulf Coast following the Deep Horizon oil spill in 2010.
